ABOUT SIM REGISTRATION IN THE PHILIPPINES

Republic Act No. 11934 or the SIM Registration Act requires all existing subscribers to register their SIM card to avoid deactivation and for new subscribers to register prior to activation. Subscribers have 180 days from the effectivity of the law or until April 26, 2023 to register their SIM cards. The registration may be extended for a period not exceeding 120 days. Failure to register will result in SIM deactivation. The deactivated SIM may only be reactivated after registration, provided that reactivation will be made not later than five days after such automatic deactivation. The law requires "All SIMs" to be registered. From mobile SIM, to broadband and eSIM - all are subjected for registration. SIM registration is FREE!

UPDATE: The mandatory SIM card registration period has been extended for another 90 days or until July 25, 2023. Be sure to register your SIM before the deadline.
